Associated Grocers GMRA
Scholarship Fund
The Associated Grocers GMRA Scholarship Fund helps provide college scholarships to students working in the grocery industry.
Qualified recipients will receive $1,000 the first year ($500 per semester), and then $2,000 per semester for each of the following 3 years that they remain working within an Associated Grocers member store. That is up to $13,000!
Recipients must apply for the scholarship annually and must remain employed by any Associated Grocers store.
Requirements:
In making its decision, the Scholarship Advisory Committee shall use the following criteria:
- Standardized test scores
- High School and/or undergraduate GPA
- Quality of personal statement
- Quality of letter of recommendation
2023 Winners
The 2023 Associated Grocers GMRA Scholarship Fund recipients were recently announced. The Associated Grocers/GMRA partnership scholarship program benefits students working within Associated Grocers retail member stores. The Grocery Manufacturers Representatives Association (GMRA) is a nonprofit organization formed in Louisiana to bring grocery manufacturers and retailers together.
