(Baton Rouge, LA) Associated Grocers Inc. partnered with the Southern University Men’s Basketball team to sponsor their Nutrition Center, becoming the team’s exclusive grocery partner. The station is located within the men’s team locker room and is available to players throughout the season, and while they are on campus.
“I am incredibly excited and grateful for our partnership with Associated Grocers. AG has allowed us to elevate the way our team eats and performs,” Coach Kevin Johnson, Southern University, stated. “I look forward to growing and continuing our relationship!”
Just this past summer, Associated Grocers served as the title sponsor of Southern University’s Elite Camp, in which students from across the Louisiana and Mississippi area participated in a one-day basketball clinic led by Coach Johnson and his staff. “We welcome this opportunity to support Southern University as they work to engage students through various stages of athletic development,” remarked Roeshawn Peters, Corporate Marketing Manager, Associated Grocers, Inc. “Initiatives such as the Elite Camp, and currently through the Nutrition Center, Associated Grocers appreciates the avenues available through the Jaguar Nation, to build a fruitful partnership by providing food options for student-athletes, that can assist their sports program.”
