(Baton Rouge, LA)  AGives!, Associated Grocers, Inc. 501 c 3 non-profit affiliate donated $10,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank. The donation is an effort to fight hunger by providing meals to individuals and families in need.  “AGives! is proud to support Second Harvest, as they serve as a vital resource for those who face food insecurity,” stated Roeshawn Peters, AGives! Board of Directors, President/Chairperson. “It is essential that we have food distribution partners, such as Second Harvest, available to our communities, ready to serve when needed. Our non-profit, AGives! mission serves as an aid in Associated Grocers’, Inc. and its employees doing just that.”

The check presentation was held at Second Harvest Food Bank, 700 Edwards Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 12 noon. 

“Second Harvest Food Bank is grateful for AGives! generosity,” said Natalie Jayroe, President and CEO of Second Harvest. “Nearly 400,000 people experience food insecurity in South Louisiana. Thanks to partners like Associated Grocers, Second Harvest can provide them the help they need.”
