Associated Grocers and their community outreach program, AGives!, are continuing their impactful partnership with the United Way’s United We Feed initiative. This collaborative effort is dedicated to fighting hunger and food insecurity in local communities by providing much-needed nourishment to families in need.

The United We Feed program distributes food bags filled with fresh produce and essential grocery items. Currently, the initiative is focused on serving St. James Parish, where it hosts monthly pickup events for the local ALICE population. ALICE, which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, represents individuals and households who earn above the Federal Poverty Level but still struggle to afford basic necessities like housing, food, and healthcare.

At the most recent August event, the AGives! team was on-site to help deliver and distribute food bags, ensuring the program’s success. This continued partnership with United Way demonstrates Associated Grocers’ ongoing commitment to supporting and giving back to the communities they serve.
