AGives! garners employee participation for the 2023 Heart Walk
(Baton Rouge, LA) Associated Grocers and its non-profit affiliate, AGives! sponsored a Refreshment Station tent at the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk on Saturday, March 25th. Funds from the walk help further heart disease and stroke research. Associated Grocers’ employees and their families formed a team and joined the walk that was held in Downtown Baton Rouge, City Plaza.
Leading up to the event, all throughout February, Associated Grocers, Inc. retail membership and employees kicked off Heart Health Month through engaging awareness activities. All month long, at participating retail stores, customers had an opportunity to donate at the register, which would benefit the American Heart Association and its efforts in providing vital funds to the organization.
American Heart Association representatives were on hand at Associated Grocers in their efforts to engage companies to promote healthy lifestyles. CPR demonstrations were facilitated on sign-up day as an educational component.
