American Heart Association and Associated Grocers’ Heart Health Awareness Month
(Baton Rouge, LA) Associated Grocers, Inc. retail membership and employees kicked off Heart Health Month through engaging awareness activities. All month long, at participating retail stores, customers had an opportunity to donate at the register, which would benefit the American Heart Association and its efforts in providing vital funds to the organization. Funds help further heart disease and stroke research, community education, and more!
American Heart Association representatives were on hand at Associated Grocers in their efforts to engage companies to promote healthy lifestyles. CPR demonstrations were facilitated throughout the day as an educational component. Employees signed up to participate in the AHA Heart Walk, to be held March 25th, in downtown Baton Rouge. Associated Grocers and its non-profit affiliate, AGives! will have a tent at the upcoming Heart Walk.
