Associated Grocers, Inc. (AG) held its Fall Food Show for member retailers at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Themed “AG in Wonderland”, the event drew just over 1,000 vendors, manufacturers, retail members, and store representatives. Associated Grocers, Inc. hosted the event which featured new items, merchandising ideas, and current services available to its retailers.
For Associated Grocers, this event was also a great opportunity in which the company was able to impact the community with bulk food, product, and floral donations. “Our continued partnership with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank allows us to provide the communities we serve with much-needed food products,” commented Roeshawn Peters, Associated Grocers Corporate Marketing Manager. With the support of our retailers and vendor partners, our Food Show donations continue to grow, thus impacting those in need.”
The company was able to donate an incredible 32,228 pounds of food which is equivalent to 26,856 meals to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank!
In addition, all of the flowers at the show were packed up and delivered by the AG team to 8 nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals in Gonzales and the Baton Rouge area. This single event pulls together much-needed food and products to directly impact families within our community.
