Associated Grocers, Inc. (“AG”) was established in 1950 by 17 independent retailers who sought to combine their buying power with the goal of driving cost savings for their customers. In that simple goal lies the heart of what AG has been about for over 65 years; local business owners doing what was necessary to improve their service to their customers and their community. It really is as simple as that!
Today, AG is comprised of independent business owners covering three states along the Gulf Coast. Our Company has evolved into a full-line wholesale distributor of food and non-food products and services all designed to put our retail stores in the best position to service the needs of their customers and their communities.
Our mission statement is clear: “The Support and Success of the Independent Retail Grocer.”
Everything we do, every decision that we make, must have the goal of satisfying this mission.
